Sharon Kantor is a screenwriter, presenter, rock musician, journalist and social and environmental activist. For years she has written newspaper columns on the environment, society and culture. She was awarded the Pratt Prize for Environmental Journalism in 2005. Kantor was among the founders of the Artists for Environmental Justice project at the Heschel Center, and of the “new movement” that, with the Meretz Party, ran in the 2009 election.
